PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the Respondent to renew the Petitioner’s Passport No. G2438126, pursuant to renewal application File No. MD1076660266924 dated 18.06.2024, for a period of FIVE years in accordance with law and subject to the conditions imposed by the learned Special Court for MMDR Act Cases, Madurai, in its order dated 17.03.2026 in Cr.M.P.No.31 of 2026 in Spl.S.C.No.57 of 2021 and the Petitioner’s representations dated 05.10.2026.

ORDER
After obtaining order dated 17.03.2026 from the Special Court to deal with the cases of offences and contravention of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, Madurai, the petitioner seeks implementation of such order.
2. Accepting notice for the sole respondent, Mr.M.Kannan, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, submits that the application is under process and that a decision would be taken within four weeks.
3. In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s application for renewal of passport within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by taking note of order dated 17.03.2026 in Cr.M.P.No.31 of 2026 in Spl.S.C.No.57 of 2021.
