WP No. 43660 of 2026 the land comprised in survey number No.23/1A1A to an extent of 10.45 acres, situated at Athanoor Village, Yelagiri District.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner and possessor of a remaining extent of 1.2 acres of land in Survey No. 23/1A1A, situated at Athanoor Village, Yelagiri, under joint patta No. 04, which he retained after selling 9.2 acres of his original 10.45-acre holding to various purchasers. Apprehending a potential threat of encroachment by strangers due to unascertained boundary lines, the petitioner approached the respondents on 21.08.2026 and 07.01.2026, paying the statutory processing fees across two separate challans. Even after that, the property was not surveyed, and hence he submitted a representation to the respondents dated 10.10.2026. As no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that if a specific time frame is fixed by this Court, the respondents will consider the petitioner’s representation and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law.
4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. Since the core issue involved in this writ petition is consideration of the representation, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 10.10.2026 and pass orders on the same within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned.
6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. If there is any dispute relating to the title or inter-se civil rights over the property, the parties are at liberty to approach the competent Civil Court for appropriate relief.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. K.SURENDER J. 30-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No VCA
