ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 18.10.2026 before entertaining any document with respect to Town Survey Nos. 29, 30 and 31, Block No. 28, Ward ‘A’ having a total extent of 13557 Sq.ft, Devakottai Town and Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. Heard the learned Counsel on either side.

3. The petitioner on the strength of an unregistered sale agreement had made a representation to the second respondent to put him on notice of any document that may be registered in regard to the lands which he holds by way of an unregistered sale agreement. However, this Court is of the view that it is for the petitioner to approach the competent civil Court to redeem the rights under the sale agreement, where he has purchased the subject property and only after his rights being adjudicated, the petitioner would have the right to be heard by the official respondents before which the petitioner cannot obstruct the second respondent to perform his statutory duties. In such view of the matter, the prayer sought in the Writ Petition does not deserve for consideration.

4. In the result, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. 30-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No cmr To

1. The District Registrar (Admin), Muthupatnam, Karaikudi Sivagangai District.
