ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to rectify the error in UDR in respect of the subject property in S.No. 55/1 (5 Acres 72 Cents / 2.31.50 Hectares) situated at K.Pudupatti Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District, and issue patta in favour of the petitioner and the legal heirs of his brother Karanthaimalai, by considering the petitioner representation. __________

2. Heard the learned Counsel either side. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner, the second respondent has initiated enquiry proceedings and within a time frame fixed by this Court, the enquiry would be concluded by the second respondent.

4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought in the Writ Petition and also considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions: “The second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 01.04.2025 on merits and in accordance with law after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned by taking into consideration the recommendations made by the respondents 4 to 6 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt __________
