CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL AHMEDABAD Order Sheet Item no.: 46 O.A./182/2024 (AHMEDABAD) [ SELCTION/PROMOTION ] Court No.: 1 No of Adjournment: 27 Order Dated: 26/10/2026 SACHIN KUMAR AGNIHOTRI Vs ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA

For Applicant(s) Advocate : JOY MATHEW

For Respondent(s) Advocate : R R PATEL Order of The Tribunal

Counsel for the parties present. In the instant OA, the applicant has approached this Tribunal as his application for appearing in examination for the post of Deputy Superintending Archaeological Chemist has been rejected on the ground of over age. This Tribunal while issuing notice to the respondents vide order dated 11.06.2024 purely as an interim measure directed the respondents to allow the applicant to participate in the selection process subject to final outcome of this OA. Thereafter, the applicant participated in the examination and his result was kept in sealed cover as per the direction of this Tribunal and today, in presence of counsel for both the parties, the said sealed cover is opened and taken on record, it is found therein that the applicant herein Shri Sachin Kumar Agnihotri participated in the Examination for the post of Deputy Superintending Archaeological Chemist as a General Category candidate having Roll No. 922 and he has obtained "55" Marks and accordingly, he has not been recommended due to lower marks. In other words, he could not qualify the said examination, therefore, we do not find any reason to keep this matter pending. The OA lacks merit and accordingly, the same is dismissed. No Costs.
