ORDER

The applicant was discharged on 31.03.2024 because he was in a Permanent Low Medical Category and no sheltered appointment was available for him. Medical Category had been downgraded permanently on account of disabilities of (a) Primary Hypertension, the extent of which was assessed to be 05% for life but neither attributable to nor aggravated by military service and (b) Dyslipidaemia, the extent of which was assessed to be 05% for life but neither attributable to nor aggravated by military service. Claim for grant of disability element was rejected because both the disabilities were assessed to be neither attributable to nor aggravated by military service.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that he claims disability element only for the disability of ‘Primary Hypertension’. The onset of the said disability was in January, 2019. Thus, Guide to Medical Officers (Military Pensions)-2023 could not have been applied to evaluate the said disability. Notice.
