ORDER
This application has been filed by the applicants/defendants seeking leave to produce additional documents.
2. According to the applicants/defendants, the additional documents are revenue records which are necessary to establish that the property claimed by the plaintiffs is different from the property claimed by the defendants. The suit is one for recovery of possession. The plaintiffs claim title to the suit property on the basis of an allotment made by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board and contend that the property forms part of the land acquired by the Board.
3. The learned counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 6 opposed the application, contending that the documents are irrelevant and that the application has been filed only to delay the proceedings. However, the documents sought to be produced relate to revenue records, and the defendants contend that the property claimed by the plaintiffs is different from the property in their possession. The documents, therefore, appear to have a bearing on this specific dispute and may assist the Court in effectively deciding the controversy between the parties.
A No. 4314 of 2026
4. In view of the above, Application No.4314 of 2026 is allowed. The applicants/defendants are permitted to produce the additional documents, subject to proof, relevance and admissibility in accordance with law.
5. Post the matter before the learned Additional Master No.IV on 16.11.2026.
6. The defendants are directed to complete their examination-in-chief on the said date without seeking any adjournment. 03-11-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No mk
