ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate Police protection to fence the petitioner's property situated at Survey Nos.71/5 to extent of 0.91.50 Hectares and 72/2A to an extent of 0.54.00 Hectares at Devipattinam Village, Ramanathapuram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by considering the representation of the petitioner’s dated 17.10.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.D.Rajaboopathy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.) accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 3. Mr.A.Sivasubramanian, learned
WP Crl.(MD) No. 5967 of 2026 Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent. Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the remaining respondents is dispensed with.
3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation submitted by him seeking police protection for fencing his property, is pending without consideration. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking appropriate directions. .
5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.) appearing on behalf of the respondents police, on instructions, submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered on its own merits within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
6. Considering the above said fact, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair opportunity of hearing to the petitioner
WP Crl.(MD) No. 5967 of 2026 herein as well as the private respondents 5 to 8, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
