ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner and his siblings for the properties in survey Nos.39/8 and 40/1 situated in Naligabetta Agraharam Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District based on the petitioner’s representation dated 22.10.2026.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the properties comprised in Survey Nos.39/8 and 40/1, situated at Naligabetta Agraharam Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District, originally belonged to his grandfather, Chinna Munniyappa, who had purchased the same by way of a registered sale deed dated 11.08.1955. After his demise, the properties devolved upon his legal heirs. While the petitioner's paternal aunt, Muniyamma, had obtained an order in W.P.No.25858 of 2026 for reclassification of the lands from “Karadu” to cultivable lands and issuance of patta, she is now attempting to obtain patta for the entire extent exclusively in her name. Hence, the petitioner, along with his brothers, submitted a representation dated 22.10.2026 seeking issuance of joint patta in their names. Since no action has been taken on the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

W.P.No.44762 of 2026

3. Mr.A.Bakkiyalakshmi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, submitted that based on the petitioner’s representation, a summon has been issued to the petitioner for appearance on 13.11.2026 and that if a specific time frame is fixed by this Court, the petitioner’s representation will be considered and disposed of on its own merits in accordance with law.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.10.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after conducting a proper enquiry and providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, as well as to any other interested parties or rival claimants, within a period of eight

(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 02.11.2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No vv2
