ORDER

(made by A.D.Jagadish Chandira, J.) Seeking a direction to the respondents, particularly the third respondent, to consider and act upon the petitioner's representation dated 01.10.2026 and permit to cause the petitioner's son A.Deena, aged about 25 years, bearing PID No.786525, presently confined in Puzhal Central Prison in connection with Crime No.255 of 2026 to undergo necessary medical examination and based upon the medical opinion, to take him under proper prison/escort security to Chettinad Super Speciality Hospital, Kelambakkam, where he had earlier undergone kidney transplantation/surgery on 05.10.2023 for monthly follow-up consultation, specialist medical examination necessary investigations, medicines and continuing treatment and consequently, ensure continuity of his medical treatment, this writ petition has been filed.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his son viz. A.Deena, aged about 25 years, bearing PID No.786525, presently confined in Puzhal Central Prison, is a convict prisoner; due to his son's significant medical history relating to kidney, he underwent a kidney transplantation/surgical procedure on 05.10.2026 at Chettinad Super Speciality Hospital, Kelambakkam; since his son is undergoing judicial custody, he is not in a position to attend hospital for monthly follow-up consultation; therefore, a representation dated 01.10.2026 has been given to the third respondent to take his son to hospital with escort for monthly consultation; since the same has not been considered so far, he has filed the present writ petition.
