ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction against the 1st and 2nd respondents to conduct survey, demarcate and fix the four boundaries in Survey No.913/2, for an extent 1 Acre 72 cents of Perumbathur Revenue Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District in the light of the petitioner’s representation dated 07.10.2026.

2. Heard the learned Counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order proposed to be passed, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner submitted that he is the owner of the subject property and in order to survey and fix the boundaries to the subject property, he had made an application on 07.10.2026 and since no further steps have been taken by the revenue authorities, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the above relief. __________

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the application of the petitioner is pending from 07.10.2026, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions: “The second respondent is directed to process the application of the petitioner, dated 07.10.2026 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If necessary, the second respondent can seek assistance of the third respondent at the time of surveying, who in turn, shall provide adequate police protection at the cost of the petitioner.”
