ORDER

This petition has been filed challenging the order dated 16.04.2026 in Crl.M.P.No.03 of 2026 in Crl.M.P.No.544 of 2026, on the file of Principal Sessions Judge, Puducherry thereby dismissed the petition seeking modification of the condition, imposed on the petitioner, while granting anticipatory bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), Puducherry.

3. A perusal of the records revealed that the petitioner is an accused in Cr.No.23 of 2026. Therefore, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police, he filed anticipatory bail petition in Crl.MP.No.544 of 2026 before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Puducherry. The same was granted by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Puducherry, by order dated 25.03.2026 on condition that the petitioner should produce a copy of the document worth Rs.20,00,000/-(either in the name of the petitioner or any one surety), since he was involved in the offence under Sections 318(4), 294(b) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023.

4. It is alleged that the accused had cheated the defacto complainant to the tune of Rs.42,50,000/-. However, the defacto complainant has stated in the FIR that the accused is also one of the subscribers in the chit schemes conducted by the defacto complainant. According to the petitioner he had paid all the amounts and dues to the chits and no amount remains outstanding.
