ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second and third respondents to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 02.10.2026 and take appropriate action against the respondents 4 to 6, if the allegations disclose commission of any cognizable offence, and conclude the same within the time stipulated by this Court, by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 05.10.2026.
2. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the private respondents 4 to 6, notice to them is dispensed with.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint against the respondents 4 to 6 on 02.10.2026. However, no effective action has been taken on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking appropriate directions.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the second respondent, namely, the District Crime Branch, has already conducted an enquiry and closed the complaint. However, the third respondent is conducting a
WP Crl.(MD) No. 5993 of 2026 preliminary enquiry in Preliminary Enquiry No.119 of 2026, which is still pending.
5. In view of the above submission, the third respondent is directed to complete the preliminary enquiry in No.119 of 2026 and take appropriate action in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
