PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate and effective police protection to the life, limbs and property of the petitioner, and to facilitate the peaceful and unobstructed erection of a protective fence around the petitioner’s absolute property comprised in S.No.991/5B and 991/6A, Patta No.5756 situtated at Achantavilthan Village, Srivilliputhur taluk, Virudhunagar District, pursuant to the petitioner’s detailed representation dated 28.09.2026.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate and effective police protection to the life, limbs and property of the petitioner and to facilitate the peaceful and unobstructed erection of a protective fence around the petitioner’s property comprised in S.Nos.991/5B and 991/6A, Patta No.5756, situated at Achantavilthan Village, Srivilliputhur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, pursuant to the petitioner’s representation dated 28.09.2026.
2. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the private respondent, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner apprehends threat to his life and property at the hands of the fourth respondent. He would further submit that the petitioner intends to erect a protective fence around his property and has submitted a representation dated 28.09.2026 seeking police protection. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the third respondent has received the petitioner’s representation and an enquiry is pending before the respondent police.
5. In view of the above submission, the third respondent is directed to complete the enquiry on the petitioner’s representation dated 28.09.2026 and take appropriate action in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
