Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal dated 02.09.2026 and within a time frame to be fixed by this honble court and in accordance with law and pending such disposal, to direct the respondents, their subordinates and agents not to dispossess the petitioner from, or demolish the structure standing on, the land in Survey No.90, Vellavedu Village Poonamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District.

Order
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) With reference to the relief sought for in the writ petition, learned Government Pleader would submit that the District Collector conducted an enquiry on the appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 10 of the Land Encroachment Act on 02.11.2026. Thus, a final order will be passed by the District Collector within a short span of period.
2. In view of the said submission, the District Collector is directed to consider the issues and pass final orders as expeditiously as possible.
