excess amount paid during the re-fixation of salary should not be recovered. Though 15 days’ time was granted to the petitioner to give an explanation, he had not given any explanation within the time specified in the show-cause notice and instead filed the present writ petition challenging the said show- cause notice.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the explanation to the show-cause notice was given through the Sessions Judge, Special Court for Trial of Cases Under SC/ST (PoA) Act, Tiruppur on 23.10.2026 and an order is not yet passed.

3. Considering the fact that the writ petition is filed challenging the show-cause notice without any adverse order having been passed, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the explanation given by the writ petitioner on 23.10.2026 and pass orders on merits. If the petitioner is aggrieved, it is always open to the petitioner to challenge the said order. No costs. (Dr.G.J.,J.) (E.M.,J.) 03-11-2026 Index: Yes/No
