PRAYER: S-15.Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to reinstate petitioner with continuity of service , back wages and all other attendant benefits payabale to petitioner as per the order of the Special Deputy Commissioner of Labour , Chennai dated 20.02.2025 in AP.No.177/2022 passed U/S 33(2)(b) of I.D.Act 1947 and thus render justice.

O R D E R
The petitioner, a driver of the respondent Transport Corporation was dismissed from service on 05.07.2022 for unauthorised absent from duty. Though the competent authority has not approved the order of dismissal, the respondent has not inducted the petitioner into service. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of Mandamus.
2. Today(03.11.2026), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, based on written instructions provided to him submits that this petitioner has been reinstated into service on 16.09.2026. __________

3. Considering the scope of this writ petition and recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Standing counsel, this writ petition is closed. Since it is reported that the dismissal order of the petitioner has not been approved, the respondents are required to pay the eligible back wages to the petitioner. No costs.
