Gurdeep Singh ...Petitioner.

Versus State of H.P. & Ors. ....Respondents.

Coram:

Ms. Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge. Whether approved for reporting?1 For the Petitioner: Mr. Sanjeev kumar Suri, Advocate. For the respondents: Mr. L.N. Sharma, Additional Advocate General.

Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge. Petitioner has laid challenge to office order dated 16.09.2026, Annexure P-7, whereunder while granting him study leave, respondent No. 2 has imposed a condition upon the petitioner to execute a bond in terms of Rule 50 of the CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972, undertaking to serve the government for a period of 5 years after the expiry of the leave. The petition has been filed on the ground that above condition is contrary to Rule 50(5)(iii) of CCS (Leave) Rules, as according to the petitioner, the said rule provides for execution of a bond undertaking to serve the government for a period of 3 years and confines the requirement of 5 years to the specifically mentioned category of a Central Health Service officer. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 3. Noticing the above amendment carried out by the respondent-State, learned counsel for the petitioner, in all fairness, seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition.
