At the outset, Mr. M I Sherkhan, learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the applicant had submitted a representation dated 12.10.2026 to the Secretary, School Education Department, Jammu for grant of extension of her deployment at Jammu on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, as the applicant is suffering from Stage-IV Breast Cancer, however, no decision has been taken on the same uptil now.
2. Learned counsel further submitted that this O.A. may be disposed of with direction to respondents to take a call on the pending representation dated 12.10.2026, within a time frame and till such time, the applicant may be protected.
3. Mr. Sudesh Magotra, learned A.A.G. appearing on behalf of the respondents' on advance notice, prays for sometime to file reply.
4. Having heard the learned counsel counsels for the parties, we are of the considered view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this O.A. pending and same can be disposed of
5. Accordingly, this O.A is disposed of, at the admission stage itself, without entering into the merits of the case, with a direction to respondents to decide the representation dated 12.10.2026 filed by the applicant, by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a period of three weeks' from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6. Till then, status quo as on today qua the posting of the applicant be maintained.
