Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married againstthe wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty,they have filed the present petition for protection.

Petitioners claim to have submitted a representation (Annexure P-5)dated 28.12.2020, in this regard, to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot,District Pathankot. —

Heard. Record perused.

Notice of motion to the office of Advocate General, Punjab.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Harpreet Singh Multani, AAG, Punjab,accepts notice on behalf of the State. Copy supplied.

Petitioner No.2 has placed on record copy of his Aadhar Card(Annexure P-2) as proof of his age whereas petitioner No.1 has filed an affidavit|(Annexure P-1) in support of proof of her age. A copy of Marriage certificate|(Annexure P-3) has also been placed on record by the petitioners.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Station HouseOfficer, Police Station Shahpur Kandi, District Pathankot, Punjab, to look into the|representation Annexure P-5 dated 28.12.2020 and ensure that no harm is caused|to the petitioners.

However, it is made clear that this order shall not be treated as stamp.of the Court about the marriage of the parties and no opinion regarding the validity|of the marriage has been expressed.
