Petitioner was granted higher salary of Rs. 8,480/- on the basis of Annexure A-1 dated 23.5.2003. However, the same has been reduced to vide Annexure A-2 dated 22.10.2003. Petitioner has not been issued any notice before issuance of Annexure A-2 dated 22.10.2003. Petitioner has suffered civil and evil consequences since the salary of the petitioner has been reduced without hearing him.

2. Consequently, the writ petition is allowed. Annexure A-2 dated 22.10.2003 is quashed and set aside. However, the liberty is reserved to the respondents to proceed with the matter in accordance with law. No costs.
