ORAL JUDGMENT
By way of this Judge's summons, the employee of the company in liquidation i.e. Gujarat Steel Tubes Limited has prayed for an appropriate order directing the Official Liquidator to pay to the applicant a sum of COMA/668/2006
Rs.7,48,051/- as awarded by the Labour Court, Ahmedabad passed in Reference Case No.2166 of 1986 and payment of Wages Application No.375 of 1999 with 10% interest. It has been submitted that the applicant has already submitted the statement of claim to the Official Liquidator on 29-8-2006.
Shri Mrugesh Jani, learned advocate appearing for the Official Liquidator has submitted that so far as other employees/workers of the company in liquidation, the Official Liquidator is considering their claim and report is to be submitted before this Court on or before 15-1-2007. Accordingly, let the Official Liquidator also consider the claim of the applicant and/or the application dated 29-8-2006 and get it verified along with other employees. However, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits and it is ultimately for the Official Liquidator to consider the claim of the applicant on proper verification.
With this, the present application is disposed of. No costs.
