HON’BLE SMT JUSTICE KONGARA VIJAYA LAKSHMI WRIT PETITION No.21312 of 2019

ORDER:

Petitioners claim to be daughters of the deceased Smt T.Arogyam. Alleging that her elder sister - petitioner No.2 is suffering with mental disorder and to look after her welfare, petitioner No.1 made applications seeking compassionate appointment on the ground that their mother, Smt T.Arogyam, died while working as woman mazdoor in the Irrigation Department, Nidumolu. Reference is made to circular memo dated 12.08.2003, wherein it provides compassionate appointment to the dependents of the deceased employee. Petitioner No.1, therefore, seeks a direction to dispose of representation dated 12.09.2019 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, it would suffice if respondent No.2 is directed to dispose of the representation made by petitioner No.1 seeking compassionate appointment.

Learned Government Pleader for Services-III submits that the representation made by petitioner No.1 would be disposed of in accordance with law.

Without going into the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 – Superintending Engineer, Irrigation Circle, Vijayawda, to dispose of the representation dated 12.09.2019 made by petitioner No.1 as expeditiously as possible.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
