On 07.11.2024 at about 3.00pm, on credible information about illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the Station House Officer of Deverapalli Police Station, Anakapalle District along with staff and others reached Siripuram Junction, Devarapalli Mandal and found two cars i.e. TATA ALTROZ bearing no.OD10U8901 and Hyundai i10car bearing no.OR05AD4499 and on seeing police the car driver of i10 drove the same in a negligent manner and dashed the barricade and stopped the car and fled away while the other car ALTROZ was stopped. On enquiry, the inmates in the car, who are A1 to A4, disclosed their identity particulars and police seized 2kgs of ganja in their car and 38kgs of ganja in the ALTROZ car in total 40kgs. After observing all formalities, police seized the ganja, arrested A1 to A4 and got remanded them to judicial custody.
4. Heard. Perused the record.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and it is at nascent stage and some more witnesses are to be examined.
