ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.
2. The grievance of the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is that the 2[nd] respondent is not taking steps for disposal of the application filed along with the statutory appeal on 15.10.2020 filed against the orders of the 3[rd] respondent. Taking advantage of the same, the respondents are trying to interfere with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject land.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pending statutory appeal, if the petitioner is dispossessed he will be subject to serious prejudice and irreparable loss.
4. Considering the submissions made, this Court deems it proper to dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the 2[nd] respondent to pass appropriate orders on the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner dated 18.11.2020 in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The 2[nd] respondent shall also give appropriate notice to the 6[th] respondent before passing orders as directed above. Till the orders are passed, the parties to the Writ Petition are directed to maintain status quo with regard to the land in question in all respects.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed off. No costs.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
