ORDER:

This petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in disconnecting power supply to the petitioner’s electrical service connection bearing No.1558140105002341 situated in Sy.No.385/1B of Yerraguntapalli Village, Chintalapudi Mandal, West Godavari District, as illegal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Corporation Limited for the respondents.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been in occupation of the premises since 2010 and has been enjoying the premises peacefully. In the meantime, the father of the petitioner gave a complaint to the respondents keeping in view of the family disputes and basing on the said complaint, the respondents disconnected the power supply to the premises of the petitioner.

4. It can be seen that though there are disputes between the family members of the petitioner, the respondents cannot disconnect the service connection to the premises, which is already in occupation of the petitioner, without there being any enquiry.

5. Hence, this Court deems fit to direct the respondents to restore the power supply to the service connection bearing No.1558140105002341 of the petitioner forthwith.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in the writ petition shall stand closed.
