Order:
This Writ Petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the candidature of the petitioner for the post of Village Revenue Officer Grade-II pursuant to notification dated 26.07.2019 issued by the first respondent on the ground of local status as illegal and arbitrary.
The case of the petitioner is that pursuant to the notification dated 26.07.2019 issued by the first respondent for the post of Village Revenue Officer Grade-II, she has applied and participated in the written examination and she was called for certificate verification on 12.11.2019; on the said date, she produced all the certificates required except local status certificate; she obtained the local status certificate on 19.11.2019 and produced the same before the second respondent on 20.11.2019, but the respondents did not consider the same on the ground that she has studied in the State of Telangana.
Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that as per the notification, the petitioner was supposed to produce local status certificate at the time of certificate verification on 12.11.2019, but the petitioner did not produce the same on that date and she obtained the certificate only on 19.11.2019 and produced the same on 20.11.2019, hence her case was not considered.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, liberty is given to the petitioner to file a representation before the second respondent by producing the local status certificate obtained by her and if any such representation is filed the second respondent is directed to dispose of the same strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
