The case of the petitioner as projected in this writ petition is that the petitioner was issued with a supply order dated 8/10/09 by the then Project Director, DRDA, Nalbari for supply of office furniture. In terms of the said order, the petitioner supplied various furniture amounting to Rs.2,77,200/-. Although the petitioner submitted the necessary bill for the same, the authority has not cleared the amount of the petitioner.

No counter has been filed by the respondents.

Considering the materials available on record and the averments made in this petition, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the concerned authority, more particularly, the respondent No.3, The Deputy Commissioner, Nalbarishall cause a necessary enquiry into the matter as regards the claim of the petitioner and issuance of supply order by the then Project Director, DRDA and on assertion regarding the supply of furniture by the petitioner and after verification if any amount is found due to the petitioner, the same shall be paid to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.With this order this writ petition stands disposed of.
