From a perusal of the order dated 25.6.2004, it appears that the issues raised in these writ petitions are covered by the decision rendered by this Court in Tinsukia Trading Co. Vs. State of Assam, 2001(2) GLR 425. Against the decision rendered in Tinsukia Trading Co., the Assam Agricultural Marketing Board has preferred an SLP and it is stated by learned counsel for the petitioners that the SLP has since been disposed of in view of the amendment to the Assam Agricultural Produce Market Act, 1972.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further states that the amendment tothe Assam Agricultural Produce Market Act, 1972 was subsequently challenged in a separate batch of petitions and even those petitions have been disposed of. Under the circumstances, the matter is infructuous.It is disposed of as infructuous.
