IN RE - REHABILITATION OF CHILDREN VICTIMS OF CRIME BEFORE AND AFTER TRIAL

Date: 24/03/2022

CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE BISWANATH SOMADDER, CHIEF JUSTICE HON’BLE MRS. JUSTICE MEENAKSHI MADAN RAI, JUDGE

…

JUDGMENT: (per the Hon’ble, the Chief Justice)

After considering the submissions made by the learned advocates for the parties and upon perusing the last affidavit filed on behalf of the concerned State respondent on 3[rd] September, 2021, we are satisfied that steps are being taken for rehabilitation of child victims of crime – before and after trial – by the State of Sikkim.

We, therefore, dispose of the instant Public Interest Litigation with liberty to the learned Amicus to approach this Court in future, if there is a necessity to bring any unresolved issue concerning rehabilitation of child victims of crime – before and after trial – to the notice of this Court.
