This is an application under Section 382 Cr.P.C seeking exemption from filing the original certified copy of the Judgment and Order dated 31-01-2024 passed in Special POCSO Case No. 5 of 2021 for preferring the accompanying criminal appeal.

It is submitted by Mr. Philemon Nongbri, learned counsel for the applicant that though an application for certified copy of the impugned Judgment and Order dated 31-01-2024 has been made, the same is yet to be received. The learned counsel submits that this application is filed to avoid further delay in preferring the appeal against the conviction.

In the facts and circumstances above, the applicant is permitted to prefer the accompanying appeal without the original certified copy of the impugned judgment and order.

This criminal petition stands allowed and disposed of.
