Heard Mr. K. Paul, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, who has candidly submitted that the accused/convict could not manage resources to pursue his medical treatment at Down Town Hospital, Guwahati, Assam. Quite in keeping with this Court’s order dated 11.03.2024, the learned senior counsel has submitted that the convict would present himself before the District Jail Authorities on 22.03.2024.
Mr. N.D. Chullai, learned AAG appearing for the State respondent has no objection to the submission made. Accordingly, this matter is disposed of with a direction to the accused/convict to present himself before the District Prisons and Correctional Home, Shillong on 22.03.2024 forenoon.
