These Review Petitions have been filed by the petitioners forquashing the impugned judgment and order dated 30.3.2017 passed bythis Court in Writ Petition being WP(C) No. 555 of 2014 on the inter aliagrounds that there is apparent error on the face of record; that the petitioners are the private respondents who were not appointed in thesame recruitment year with the private respondents; that by the time whenthe private respondents were appointed, the review petitioners werealready in the cadre of Assistant Engineer and therefore the privaterespondents cannot be made senior to the review petitioners and that whiledetermining the interse seniority, the general principle as laid down inOffice Memorandum dated 7.2.1986 ought not to have been applied. Butduring the course of hearing as regards the error apparent on the face ofthe record, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners is unable to pointout the error in the judgment and order and as regards the othersubmissions, they are in relation to the questions of law or for that matter, the interpretation of law on merits which may be grounds for preferringappeal.
In view of the above, this Court is of the view that reviewpetitions are devoid of merit and accordingly, are dismissed.
