Mr. Mathuk Thumra, learned counsel, appears for the petitioner. Mr. S. Kaminikumar, learned CGC, appears for respondent No. 1. Mr. Athouba Khaidem, learned Government Advocate, appears for respondent Nos. 2, 3 & 4.

This writ petition was filed assailing the detention order dated 13.09.2022 issued by the Special Secretary (Home), Government of Manipur, against the petitioner’s brother-in-law, viz., Lhaineineng Haokip.

While so, Mr. Athobua Khaidem, learned Government Advocate, would inform this Court that the said detention order has now been revoked. A copy of the order dated 15.12.2022 passed by the Commissioner (Home), Government of Manipur, stating to this effect, is placed on record.

In the light of this development, the cause in this writ petition no longer survives for consideration on merits.

W.P. (Crl.) No. 41 of 2022 is accordingly closed.

No order as to costs.
