CHATTOPADHYAY Order17/09/2021 This application has been filed seeking disbursement of the share of compensation of Pohor Noatia who was a minor on 31.05.2007 when MACT, Agartala awarded the said compensation in case No. TS(MAC) 533 of 2002 which was later upheld by this High Court in MAC App. 12 of 2008.

Mr. K.K. Pal, counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that when the award was passed, petitioner was a minor because his date of birth as per birth certificate (Annexure-1 to the petition) is 01.08.2000.

Now the petitioner has attained majority. Therefore, his share invested in UCO bank in its High Court branch in a term deposit dated 28.01.2009 may be released in his favour along with the interest accrued thereon.

Perused the record. It appears that the petitioner has submitted a detailed affidavit sworn by him before the Notary, Government of India at Agartala on 07.09.2021.

In view of the above, the Registry will disburse the said amount in favour of Pohor Noatia, petitioner after verification of his identity by transferring the said amount to the individual bank account of the petitioner within ten days from today.

In terms of the above, the I.A is disposed of.
