CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE JAVED IQBAL WANI, JUDGE

O R D E R 30-12-2023

The grievance of the petitioners in the instant petition is that the respondents have undertaken a process of expansion of water supply schemes through water reservoir and that despite the fact that the petitioners have approached the respondents to extend to them the benefit of such expansion, the respondents instead have initiated a process to divert the said benefit of the scheme to an area where there is no scarcity of water.

Learned counsel for the petitioners while making his submissions in tune with the contentions raised in the petition would pray for disposal of the petition at this stage with the direction to the respondents to address their grievance expeditiously and at its own merits.

Notice.

Mr. Jehangir Ahmad Dar, GA present, appears on behalf of the respondents and waives notice. Mr. Dar is not averse to the disposal of the petition at this stage.

Having regard to the aforesaid position and submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, this petition is disposed of with the directions to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners on its own merits in accordance with applicable rules.

Disposed of.

(JAVED IQBAL WANI) JUDGE
