CORAM:

HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE. HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE JAVED IQBAL WANI, JUDGE.

ORDER30.12.2023

The appellants are aggrieved and have called in question an order and judgment dated 1[st] April, 2021, passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in WP(C) No. 628/2021 tiled “LobzangTsondus Vs. Union Territory of Ladakh and Others”.

On the last date of hearing, when the matter was taken up for consideration Mr. T.M. Shamsi, learned DSGI placed on record a communication dated 28[th] August, 2023, issued by the Office of District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Kargil, and submitted that the respondents have decided to redress the grievances of the appellants by offering them the vacant posts of Rehbar-e-Khel which have become available with the respondents.

On the last date of hearing, there was no representation on behalf of the appellants. Today also when the case was called nobody appeared on behalf of the appellants. It seems that with the redressal of the grievances of the appellants in terms of the communication dated 28[th] August, 2023, the appellants have lost interest to pursue this case.

This petition is, therefore, dismissed for non-prosecution. We, however, direct the respondents to adhere to their commitment made in the communication dated 28[th] August, 2023, by the Office of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kargil, and offer to the appellants engagement as Rehbar-e-Khel who as per the respondents are two wait list candidates.
